They are all sort of antiquated. My sister who grew up in the fifties used nifty, groovy was sixties and radd seventies and eighties.

but these are modern day equivalents of "nice"
It is better to find a more descriptive word for what you are describing.
Example: Last night's movie was radd.
Compared with: Last night's movie was like being on a roller-coaster. The chase scenes were so thrilling.
