I am in Australia. the Supercheap staff told me there is normally a plate close the engine. But I cannot find it?

The paint code will be in one of two places: either on driver's side pillar between the two doors, near the bottom, or in the engine compartment, all the way in the back in the top center of the firewall.
The metal plate should have the word "Paint" with the code directly below it. Kia uses a two-digit paint code. If you had listed your color in your question, I could probably have even told you the proper paint code. Nonetheless, I hope this helps.

There's a little plate in the door jamb on the drivers side. It'll probably be a 3 digit number.

i dont know about austrailian cars, but in american cars it is on the id tag on the drivers door or drivers door jamb, might say PNT CD or EXT PNT or simply paint code
