I am trying to find my way from Chicago to First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre in Tinley Park, IL using public transportation. It will be on a Saturday/night. Do the trains run that far southwest and at night on a saturday? I'm trying to make it to a concert.

Get ready to drive, or hope that Metra and Pace run concert specials:

The closest train that runs there is the Rock Island line to the Tinley Park station, then you take the Pace bus rte 357 to get within 2 miles of the entrance. Then you walk.

Unless Metra runs extra trains late (never tried it before myself), the last train back to downtown Chicago on a Saturday evening is before 11 PM.

Try checking both Metra's and Pace's websites closer to concert night and see if they extend their skeds for the season for the World Music, er, Tweeter Center, er, First Midwest Bank Ampitheater.

I'd find a car. I don't think a train goes very close to that area of Tinley Park and it would take forever. Check out metrarail.com and transitchicago.com to see if it's possible
