This is a tough question.

The most important holiday for most regular Panamanians most probably is Carnival, as you see a mass exodus of people going away from Panama City to the interior of the Republic to participate in the different activities related to the Carnival. Besides the nation practically comes to a standstill as almost nothing can be accomplished until Ash Wednesday.

Of political and historical importance I would consider it to be Independence Day (Nov. 3).

You also have the other regular holidays (Easter, Christmas, New Years, Mother's Day, etc.)

Navidad (christmas) because everyone is together as a family and there's lots of foods and happiness. Over there it's different from here. Here they say santa claus there they say God's child (nino de Dios). Instead of getting their presents under the tree they get theirs under their beds.
