Please help, my laptop screen is extremely dim, it was working yesterday but this morning it's not, normally once i come back to it and move the curser it will brighten the screen, what's happening i've tried going through brightness setting etc but it's not doing anything, troubleshooting not helping either even tried restarting laptop ... please help it's only a few months old??
Could something have been pressed(my kids come in and like to touch it against my authority) could one of them done something please help!!!!!

if you have a IBM, I know for sure all you hve to do is hold Fn on the very bottom left side of the keyboard and press HOME on the top right side of the keyboard. If oy udon't have an IBM, i'm not sure if the other computers have Fn on their keyboards, but look anyway.

The battery might be failing on you. Try to replace it with another and see if it does anything. If the problem still persists, then I think your screen must have just given up.

try what others have suggested. If none of those things work then the inverter board for the LCD may have gone out.
