1. Take some walks for the amount of time you can handle walking - it's not going to bring labor on excatly, but it may help the baby settle into the pelvis (drop) which can help out a LOT.

2. Have sex. Same reasons as you read below... the POSSIBILITY of the prostaglandins from semen to help ripen the cervix and having an orgasm can release oxytocin which is known to cause contractions. Unfortunatly, the positions available with a BIG LOOMING belly don't often allow for penetration right to the cervix (not to mention it can be uncomfortable for mom... and if you've already started to dialate the doctor my NIX sex!). Also... you've got to actually HAVE an orgasm in order to hope that the oxytocin gets released. Easier said than done sometimes with that big ole belly. And then again... you're likley to get some MILD contractions from it... not necessarily enough to send you into labor unless your body is really ready. (Nipple stimulation is often suggested also... note that all this does is possibly release oxytocin like an orgasm might... more likely you're going to just end up with some sore nipples for your baby to breastfeed on when she DOES finally get here!).

3. Get induced at the hospital!

Just remember your body will let you know when you are ready. Don't rush it because you don't want to hurt yourself or the baby. It will happen and if you go to far over your doctor will induce you.

Exercise--take a walk or clean your whole house. Instead of sitting on the sofa, get an exercise ball and sit and roll on it--it'll help the baby's head move into place.

Have sex and an orgasm, if you're comfortable enough to have sex. The orgasm can start contractions.

Some women swear by eating spicy foods.

If I were you, I'd do them all!

Well you know that it will be soon so whatever you decide to do make sure that you still leave yourself energy for the labour. When I was in hospital to have my kids, every time I used the lift I would get a contraction. Nipple stimulation is said to help with contractions and also walking, but again, don't use all your energy. It won't be long now :)

Try walking all over the place, go up and down steps (carefully) , try having many orgasms, see if that helps. I think it also might be just when baby is ready.. Im not really sure if this stuff really helps!! But Good luck!!

walk till you cannot walk any more. You can try sex, drinking a beer, there are certain spices some recommend, but the baby will not come until it is ready. However, walking is the best recommendation as far as I know. Good luck with your new little one....

Try wide hip circles for a bit to help the baby descend into the birth canal and then squat and push down. Have a towel handy because it might make your water break.

You can go for walks but you still have 2 weeks to wait. what is the hurry? Relax and enjoy this time as you won't ever get it again. I know, I have three.
