Ok if any guys read this I'm sorry for the discomfort. But I need to know how to spell the word that means when a males' penis is cut off. (hope that was good wording) In parites of the Carribeanen Jack says that Will has had it done when they are fighting in the beggining.

Do you mean a penectomy?

Normally if a body part is removed it is part or all of the body part name (often the medical term) followed by ectomy.

Removal of a lump: lumpectomy, removal of the ovaries: oophorectomy, removal of the womb: hysterectomy.

Removal of the testicals is castration, which would be used by someone to imply they are going to make you impotent and no longer able to perform.

Removal of the foreskin would be a circumcision.

I can't remember that bit of the film, but it would probably be castration. Penectomy seems like a funny choice of word to use in a film :)

EDIT: with the extra info, the word you are looking for is eunuch, from the Greek words for "bed-keeper". These were generally men who had been castrated and/or had a penectomy rendering them unable to perform, and therefore the ideal men to look after Harems of wives etc, as they wouldn't be tempted to mess around with them! Or, as they would have no loyalty to anyone else, would be loyal to their masters.

This process could also be carried out to achieve a much higher singing voice etc, but the main function (or lack of) implied by Jack Sparrow would be lack of sexual function :)

CG.

I don't know the word for a male whose penis is cut off. However, when a man's testicles are removed, he is said to have been castrated. Likewise, a eunuch is a man who has been castrated.
