I noticed that after the first game of the set, the pros do an immediate changeover, no sitting down. Is this the rule? No delay on the changeover after the first game of the set? How long a rest do you have after the third game? And also after a set, how long is the rest?

Yes it is a new rule, well a few years now ,you know longer change after the first game. It is still 3 minute on every odd game after that for a break. 3 minutes after the set is over if it is an odd numbered game and you still do not switch after the first game of a new set. It actually adds a bit of strategy on the spin to see who serves because you may want your opponent to have the sun in his eyes for the first 3 games rather then choose to serve or the same thing with the wind, get it at his back so he over hits a few while learning to play the wind,

Because play is supposed to be as continuous as possible the rules state that after the first game of each set there is no rest. Same is true for a tie-break situation when players change court ends. But apart from that first game, players receive a 90 second rest after every odd game. A 120 second rest is permitted after each set. Some tournaments allow longer breaks after the 2nd set (best of three) or 3rd (best of five) but this is the exception, rather than the rule. And 20 seconds are allowed between each point.

No break is allowed after the first game of a set. After the third game and the next change overs, you are allowed a 90-second break. Set breaks are 2 minutes long. A 10-minute break is allowed between 2nd & 3rd sets.

They dont sit down because they are already hydrated and active, or ready to play. There isnt any delat cuz they have lots of stamina to work hard. After the 3rd game, the rest is about 5-8 min. A set is about 10-12 min. As u can see, pros have to work VERY hard.
