Every average girl knows that hanging out with gorgeous friends is the best way to get close to the guys they would not even be in the same universe with otherwise. For this reason, they try to hang around with beautiful and/or popular girls. Yes, it's probably superficial and you are being used. But accept it as a compliment and enjoy the limelight. Don't take the friendships too seriously. They're just trying to increase their odds of meeting a guy that's hot enough to die for. :-)
