if both of my parents have o positive blood types, how did i end up with o negative?

That means that both of your parents have the same genetics:
1 gene O negative
1 gene O positive
The positive always "wins", that´s why they are both positive
But you could just inherit 1 gene from each parent: so you have
1 gene O negative (from mom)
1 gene O negative (from dad)
That's why you are negative.

i am o neg and my parents are both o positive so i guess it must be 2 do with genes or something lol i ain't sure either 2 be honest. but i always get told us with the o neg blood are special lol.

If one of their parents had O negative blood, then that would explain why you have O negative blood.

it's genetics. but having 0 negative blood is a really good thing. i'm o negative myself. you are a universal donor which means anyone can use your blood but you can only recieve o negative blood! go donate!!!

you are blessed. you can take blood from both your parents but your blood is extremely rare. Good for you. Only one in 100,000 has O neg.
