There is this Spanish movie set in Ecuador called "Cronicas" or Las Cronicas" with him and this actress I've seen before I don't know her name I think she was Chris Tucker's partner in the first Rush Hour though. Anyway the movie is about this serial killer that has been travelling around South America molesting and then killing hundreds of children for years. John Leguizomo and his TV news crew are following the murders and doing stories on them. I won't tell the end but I will say it doesn't end nicely. Anyway, I was wondering was the movie based on true events.

I haven't seen the film, but if anything; the closest the film's crimes could be to real events would be the crimes of South-American serial killer Pedro Lopez "The Monster of the Andes" who confessed to 300 sexual assaults and stranglings, killing 103 girls, including 53 whose bodies have been found.

Honestly? I think he's too over the top and coasting ' politically ' to be seriously considered a talent. That's why sensationalist films are made, also westerns, action films, so you won't have time to notice the ' actors ' aren't all that great. Then again it conditions you to have a predisposition for films with extremely loud soundtracks.

Since bot the Official site and the IMDB call it a suspenseful work of fiction - I will go on the basis that it is a fictional tale. It does sound really good though thanks for the tip!

I haven't seen it or heard of it, but i love John Leguizamo and everything I've seen him in. I'll definitely put it on my list of "must see movies".
