Pepper, no I'm not going every 2 weeks, I did post a question about that on here not too long ago, I guess it's because I go to a military hospital and they are all booked?

They start checking at 36 weeks, at which point you will be seeing your doctor or midwife once a week.

Be forewarned, not all military doctors will check to see if you are dilating. They tend to believe you will deliver when you are ready and sometimes checking can speed things up. I am 40 weeks at a military hospital and did not get checked until I was 38.5 weeks and only because I was having contractions. I am not dilated at all, but still having contractions that are pretty regular. They have stopped at times during the day, but this is the third day of contractions. Still the doctors will not induce me until I am 41 weeks pregnant. If you saw a civilian doctor, you could ask and receive pretty much. Military doctors have policies that are handed down through their chain of command. My next pregnancy, I will switch to a civilian doctor first off. Good luck. Where are you stationed anyway?

Well you should be going every week the last month, which is when they will begin to see if you are dialated. I am sure though he is entrusting you that if you have any signs of your mucus plug loss or anything else you will contact them.

31 wks you are getting close but not that close remember pregnancies usually run 40 wks, see more on early labor and get a great new stat about pregnancies going to term earlier.

Most Doctors start checking at 37 weeks because then the baby is considered full term. You will see the doc once a week and they will check you each week.

Good Luck

You're not going every two weeks? That's odd.

Generally, they start checking around week 36, but that can vary if you have risk factors for premature births, or the doctor thinks, for some reason, that you may go early.

I hope that this helps.
