movies about sororities???

For some reason, I keep on remembering this one scene from a movie and I don't have a clue as to what movie it is!!! Can someone please help me?? Here's the scene: It's a sorority and the girls are going thru that thing they have to do to see if they get into it (whatever it's called...). One of the "hazes", i guess, is that they make the girls lie on the table and they trace their fat with a red permanent marker. then, scenes later, one of the girls dies or kills herself, i don't remember....but they find the markings when examining her body....that's all i remember.

if you can help me figure out what this movie, or tv show, is- that would be great. cuz it's really bugging me.

dying to belong. I had to check on imdb. I remembered it had Mark Paul Gosselar but couldn't remember the female lead. (It was Hilary Swank)
