It seems to me former NBA greats have a lot of success in Coaching (such as Larry Bird, Jerry Sloan, and Avery Johnson)
My pick would have to be John Stockton. the man had a vision and knowledge of basketball that was hardly even rivaled.so I think he would be great.

Steve Kerr, he makes such good comments on TNT that tell me that he must be a great coach, also he looks like a coach

Larry Bird...Since he has experience with the Pacers, and did a pretty good job...If you mean who hasn't coached, I'd have to say learn from the best ever, Michael Jordan...

you can tell some guys are cut out to be players, and some are cut out to be coaches...I dont believe in any way that MJ was cut out to be a coach, he dogged his guys out as a player coach so badly they didnt respond, (rip hamilton was his whipping boy)...now that being said I would pick Joe Dumars, or Kareem...cerebral guys who played at the highest level...
