Well I didn't really enjoy the thought of the frog dieing for it, but It was a great learnig experience, now they have a program where you can do a virtual disection on the computer. I love animals and hope to be a herpetologist so i am probably going to need that knowledge and will probably have to do it again. Good Question by the way.

I'm a major animal lover but I'll admit dissections are VERY interesting. In my vertebrate anatomy class right now we are dissecting a lamprey, dog shark, mudpuppy, bullfrog, pigeon, rat, etc... It's informative and, to me, a lot of fun. I've also dissected fetal pigs, worms, rats, sheep brains etc... The only dissection I had problems with was a mink dissection I did in high school, because they actually paid fur farms for the specimens. Pictures and models only go so far, dissections are really the best way to go.

I know that I wouldn't like to, in fact I absolutely wouldn't. There is just no reason to, especially with the technology that exists today. It just seems cruel and pointless to me. Because, really, why? Nobody's job requires it...unless you happen to be a science teacher/professor maybe. So many people have dissected frogs already, its not like anyone is going to find anything new........and there are simulations that are more appropriate to use for educational purposes, and nothing has to die... :)

LIKE to dissect a frog? No. I did it in school because I had to and it's actually a good learning experience, but it's not something I ever enjoyed.

I did when I was in 7th grade, I am now in college. Since then I became a veggie and a strict animal activist. So I would not recommend in.

It really isn't that bad. I have dissected worm, frog, and sheep brain. Don't make yourself sick by what you have heard.
