why is okay to be a pimp, crack dealer and treat women like tarts when your a so called rap star ? i just dont get it ! yes i know 50cent and the rest of them were drug pushers BEFORE they hit fame but its still wrong ! they sold drugs to people and they carry guns like Gucci bags how can you worship people like this ?

Not all rappers do what you have described. I think a lot of them get their music from how their life use to be. Plus you think its only rappers that treat women like tarts?? Think again. I far from worship rappers and I know youngsters do but their parents should steer thenm away from it as much as possible. My nephews are young and I do not allow them to listen to rap music. And I think you can find an average Joe in London selling drugs.
I think you will find that kids dont copy the Rolling Stones beacuse they are not deemed cool..plus Rolling Stones in their day were not good role models not only did they take drugs but they also did a video of them having sex with groupies. Plus one of them still has drug problem now..so dont just point the finger are rappers..look at Robbie Williams..Britney Spears etc etc how many young girls look up to her and look how she is carrying on at the moment.

Rock stars like Kurt Cobain and Tommy Lee are so much better right?
I am not saying that what they did is right but there are bad apples in every genre of music. Not all rap stars sold drugs or glorify violence or mistreating women so stop generalizing until you listen to some real hip hop and not just what you see on MTV.

i don't know why people worship them soo much? it's so ignorant to walk around talking about drugs & they live in the 'burbs. you'd think that since thay rap about getting out of the drug dealing life they'd just leave it at they but they keeping talking about being in the "trap" and how many women they get a night. NONSENSE!!!
p.s. i'm a big fan of rap music but it's gotta change!

i dont either but i know what you mean. they sing about triumph over adversity but they also want attention from people who still live a pimp lifestyle so...ya know, its a catch 22. Best thing for you to do is be a better role model.

I don't like rap and I definitely don't worship people like that. Also, there are plenty of rock bands/singers who are into drugs and treat women in the same exact way, yet I don't see you complaining about them...

Whats wrong with drugs? The thing that makes america so great is freedom, if someone wants to do somthing to there own body let them... you dont complane about fast food even tho ti kills more people than all drugs combined?

I hate rap music, it's cack! What really annoys me is that some rappers refer to their music as "RnB" Most people wouldn't know what proper rhythm and blues music was if it smacked them in the face!
