I am registering a domain name for a friend. It asks me to input a bunch of information, such as name, email, address, phone number, etc...

Is it possible to change this information at a later date? Say in three months I don't want that site to have my name associated with it. How easy is it to change the registration info?

Well most registrars make this rather difficult so that no one else can "steal" your domain name. If at all possible register it with your friends information (if they dont have email use yours, its easy to change email addresses)

If you MUST change registrants there will be a procedure you have to follow somewhere on the site you registered the domain. Sometimes that means sending a fax, letter etc. Sometimes it is just a web form that must be verified by the current registrant. It can be done its just a pain.

It all depends on the policy of the registrar. I would assume that you should be able to change contact information for the domain name; since they like to keep it all up to date so they can contact you when it is time for renewal.

Any registrar that is a reseller for tucows allows you to change the information whenever you like as many times as you like as long as it is valid.
