I think that many eons ago mars once had life on it maybe mars had intelligent life like a civilization. I think mars might of had a moon or moons like the Earths moon but an large asteroid from the asteroid belt probably collided with mars's moon mostly destroying it leaving only phobos and deimos then the debris from the moon then collided with mars wiping out almost all life on the planet the debris from the bombardment stripped away most of mars atmosphere and boiled away mars's surface water example oceans, rivers and lakes or they were ejected into space . my theory might explain why this planet is unihabitable.

That's not much of a "theory". That's just a speculation. A real scientific theory needs to be more specific.

"many eons" -- how many?
"intelligent life like a civilization" -- how many? how big were the cities?
"moon or moons" -- how many, how big, what orbits?
"then ... collided" -- when?

After that, you need some facts to back up each point in your theory. You need to show why simpler theories don't fit the known facts. Then, you have to use your theories to make some predictions about things that have not been discovered yet.

Your theory might explain why Mars in uninhabitable, but it is not specific, lacks facts to back it up, and there are other theories that are MUCH MUCH simpler.

Your theory is as good as any.

What possibly detracts from there being advanced lifeforms is that on Earth it has taken billions of years to go from bacteria to homo sapiens. Did Mars have enough time. We know it had more water and more atmosphere once upon a time, and those are what we consider necessarily for life, but the time factor could be against advanced lifeforms having developed.

Of course, it may be possible that conditions on Mars were better in the earlier eons, giving it a head start on Earth.

However, current theory is that it has lost atmosphere over time due to its weak gravity not being able to hold onto it. And its tiny moons are captures from the asteroid belt which lies between Mars and Jupiter.

But who knows the reality? keep on searching for answers. You may be the one to come up with the answer in the future.

PS - and don't worry about the people saying there are no ruins. Human habitation is buried out of site on Earth in just centuries. if your cosmic collision theory could be correct, there is every possibility that everything would get obliterated.

Anyway, Mars has periodic dust storms that have been seen to be global. So, after millions of years these would cover any ruins.

Your theory could have played out as you say but it is likely a different scenario sculpt the facts that we have about the planet mars.

Unlikely. Thousands of images have been taken of the surface of Mars, and nothing remotely resembling ruins has been spotted.

There might have been primitive life on Mars at one time though.

If there are "micro bacteria fossils" on Mars they haven't been found yet.
