I'm from the UK and i wouldn't say either are the best countries in the world(they're still great tho). The USA is better, and I think its the love of their country that makes it that way. British people moan a lot (myself included) but no one ever does anything about it, people are becoming less and less proud of their identity. Don't get me wrong because out and out nationalism is dangerous but Brits are to scared to be openly nationalist because you're called racist, if you support Iraq you're a war monger etc.
I think Britain has a better set of principles like the NHS and the many state benefits, but it's not put into practise properly which is its underlying failure and its stopping Britain being a world leader in terms of living standards, and to be honest the taxes and cost of living are disgusting when compared to USA, Canada, Germany etc.
I think the USA is a great country, its Britains best and only real friend in the world, its cultural influence is massive and its so diverse that its got something for everyone when it comes to films, music, books and so on. The people in general are friendly and fiercely proud of there traditions, its hard not to admire. But it does suffer from social injustices on a larger scale than the UK and racism is still apparent in some regions (the UK is becoming the opposite because anything can be seen as racism, i don't condone racism in anyway, but if you push people to far i believe it can be worse for society).
On the whole two good countries but not the best, I think developed European nations like France, Germany and Sweden are the best countries I have seen, but i haven't seen enough of the world to say what's the no.1

Typical American, put themselves first, then as a caution, paranoia is a dreadful thing, especially without friends, put someone like the UK next to you and behind.
However, if ne looks at manners, culture, what the Country has done for others, good things, the food, the wine, the people, the atmosphere, the art, music and an endless list,my friends, you start with France, Italy, Holland, Germany and so on.
Unless, that is, you are a self indulgent brat **** Amercan.

I don't think either of these countries are better than one another, they are just as good and just as bad as each other. The UK has it's social security and benefits and NHS to help out those who need it. The USA is very modern and up to date with the latest technology and things are so much cheaper than UK. I would still choose UK though, I'm less likely to get shot and if I do, I don't need to have health insurance to get treated!

The United Kingdom is still the best.
The US is best with skills and technology in planet of apes.
Somehow the UK lost that glory and must find it and bring it back in planet of apes.
Without the UK will never hit the home-run with the missing x-files in planet of apes.
