i think youve got two questions there havnt you
q1 - is it wrong as a believer to think that god is an agent in a narrative about the way the world is?
which i think many catholics would argue is wrong, but actualy represents a large proportion of religious belief these days
and
q2 - are there more and more glaring errors and inconsistancies in catholicism being discovered every day?
to which the answer is of course yes.

Oh who knows - with the amount of theory's out there about the fall of the catholic church, whether God really exists or he is just a figment of your imagination. We will never know whether he is there or not but if we decide to have faith then it shouldn't be a problem.

Errors in religion, period, dude. Personally, I think the concept of God was created out of sheer laziness rather than ignorance, at least with the Judeo-Christian God you're speaking of. The makers of this God wanted to use him as a scapegoat; something to blame for misfortunes and to praise for prosperous tidings. It was out of fear of bearing responsibility, of venturing out in to unknown territory, away from the father-figure's authority and, respectively, his accountability. Much like a growing child who doesn't want to live in a world with responsibilities and burdens, but rather a blissful, neglectful world where the 'father', God, is supreme.

God is real, and yes, it's a sin to believe that He is the creation of the human mind. we can not understand everything. ALL things are flawed, including Catholicism.

You claim there are errors in Cartholicism but you fail to provide even one example....
What's more, how do you KNOW they are errors in Catholicism. Is it not possible they could be errors in your personal opinion as it pertains to the Church?

Your question makes little sense...but I will tell you that the more I study my Catholic faith, the more I realize the Church has had it right all along!
