Call the DES. I am not sure what it is called mayve Department of Economic Security. usally it is the building where welfare and other things are. In all states there are places that will help you when you have an emergency like that. Or see what welfare can do for your dad. I have to say if you are working could you have not helped him i do not know what the situation was so sorry if i am out of line. : -) There are a lot of places that might be able to help. Call a DES. asap

Don't mean to undermine your previous answers, but housing assistance can take a while before you actually get a place to move into. It almost certainly will not happen with two weeks. If you already got eviction notice, trying to work with your landlord doesn't seem like an option either.

Any family members willing to help with rent or a place to stay until you both can get better jobs? You might try local churches as well.

dont know where you are located, but you could go to yard sales and buy stuff cheap and try to resell on e-bay, also look online for your local law enforcement or gov. confiscated property auctions and buy things cheap and resell on e-bay. I have done the gov auctions, you can buy old out dated office machinery such as big printers, forms bursters etc.. weve gotten some for about $1-$20 and stripped them and resold the plastic gears, belts, rods and motors on ebay. Ive got an auction going now for some plastic gears, belts and gear tracks off an office machine that we paid $5 dollars for and just the gears that i have on e-bay now are selling for $16.50. Me and my husband do this for extra money so we can spoil our grand-daughter and send her home to mommy and daddy!!!!!

Good luck
