All I can say is that you wouldn't want me to be in charge of it all, I promise you.
I'd use strong-arm tactics of the most severe nature. Invade? Hell no! If I want to strong-arm a nation, I would point to surgical airstrikes and tactical nuclear ICBM launches from boomers that might or might not be where I say they are. I'd re-activate the Battleships, and have them overhauled for nuclear power. An explosive charge the size of a volkswagen, and leaves a crater 60 yards across is powerful diplomacy, my friend. Powerful indeed.
I'd increase the size of the military by 25%. I'd increase the US Border Patrol and ICE by 50%. I'd give welfare and unemployment recipients 90 days to find a local job, or put them to work, complete with training on improving infrastructure and agriculture, as well as researching bio-fuels.
I'd suspend foreign aid to OPEC members. I'd cut Venezuela off at the knees with a 100% economic embargo, while opening my doors to Cuba and Brazil.
And if anyone threatened to topple my regime, I'd go old school, and folks would be erased, except for in the memories of people who knew them.
The dollar would be re-tied to the Gold Standard, and less money would be printed. Outsourcing companies would have 6 months to bring back jobs to the US, or relocate to another nation and forfeit all government contracts, or suffer a 50% increase in taxes. The IRS would be dissolved, and sales tax would be instituted. How? I would simply not nominate a cabinet, and would tell the last Secretary of X his/her job was done, when the day came for my regime to take power.
Sometimes an autocrat is what is needed. In the meantime, I would construct a nice house, far away from the rest of the civilized world, and would step down, after my term of four years, to retire to quietness and the south pacific, by myself, while you guys scrambled to undo everything I did as President.
See? You wouldn't want me as your leader.

I would choose Martin Luther King Jr (if it can be anyone past or present) if it had to be present I think I would like Chris Rock. I know he's no MLK, but man he's funny. It would be a great presidency and time in America.

The best person for the job, would be me. But with no back ground in Kissing butt, I would never have a chance. I would only do what the Majority would want done, and never impose my personal views on the job. That is what a "PUBLIC SERVANT" should do. But we will never see the day, when a President would serve for the people again.
