I work in a daycare teaching 1 and 2 year olds and I have 10 in my class. So I am always having to get on the floor, stand up, get on the floor, stand up, ect. and not to mention having to lift all of them all the time. And I would say my smallest is about 25 lbs. I just want to know how long you all thought I should work for because I am starting to have a really hard time at work and by the time I get home, I am more than exhausted. I go back to the doctor next Monday but I wanted to hear some other people's opinions first.

Obviously your health always comes first. If you are jeopardizing your's or the baby's, then get a note that you need to be on light work, or out of work. In the case of no lifting or light work, then the daycare will need to provide you with additional help. Or you just sit on the floor and do everything you can from there. BUT, I have to tell you, you are going to cherish every second of time with your baby after the birth. Any time you use up b/f the birth is time lost with your child afterwards. That is of course if the daycare offers you maternity leave. My philosophy is to work as long as you can even up to the day you go into labor. Then you have more maternity leave time with your new child. Remember, they can't fire you for being pregnant. And you do become physically limited. Do what you can. The last thing they are going to want is for you to get hurt on the job!! Congrats on the baby!!

Being exhausted is part of being pregnant. I'm a little concerned about you constantly picking up the other children though. Be careful. I would modify how often you pick them up. Talk to the doc.

Only you and your doctor can decide if it is time to ease up. I left my job at a little over 7 weeks. My BP was up and the constant lifting of handicapped clients and their equipment was too much for me.

Good luck and congrats!

Ideally working as long as you can before delivering is best, that way you won't feel as bad for taking a longer leav to bond with the baby. BUT carrying a baby and taking care of other babies is a lot of work, so Work as long as it is comfortable for you. I at 36 weeks but at 34 it became far too unbearble to commit myself to hours of school a day. I would come home so tired, i wouldn't eat dinner or shower and just pass out. I started to get depressed bcus i was so tired, and not getting enough sleep, and not doing the other important things i needed so i figured i can't be this tired before the baby comes knowing full and well that i'd be exhausted once i had her. Well I talked to my doctor and after telling me i looked like **** she told me to stay out of class until she gave me further notice.

i might say try this as long as you're bodily able, and it seems such as you're incredibly much on the element the place you will no longer have the skill to do it plenty longer. I worked up until my due date, yet I wasn't doing each and all the actual issues you're doing. Ask your boss if it may well be obtainable which you will replace to a room with infants which you will carry, or older infants who're greater self reliant and you is merely no longer having to get on the floor with them. good success.

many women work right up to delivery date, maybe you can try working half days what ever makes you happy but try to stay active much better for you and baby, unless a dr tells you otherwise.
