Yes. My teachers all happen to be extremely conceited. It's very difficult to deal with, but you need to remember to not loose your head and scream at them. I know this sounds hard, and believe me it is, but you can't tell them that they are stuck up. You will end up in big trouble and it's not worth it. So if one teacher in particular is very rude, have a parent make a clam and professional call to the administrators. Hope that helps you.
P.S. make sure that your parent making the call specifically asked that they remain anonymous!

Hmm... most of the time, I would advise holding your tongue, as frequent outbursts are sure to cause trouble, even if your professor is wrong.
Occasionally, though, I think it is alright to politely correct a teacher, not by stating it outright, but by going...
"Excuse me, but I believe/ I've heard before that... (insert your correction here)."
It might leave them thinking, and give their teaching a more balanced opinion. Good luck dealing with difficult teachers... just remember, we're all in this together. Usually, the teachers simply feel inferior, and try to get back in other ways. Just keep your cool but occasionally give them a taste of their own medicine.

Yeah my teacher did it all of the time. I just stopped trying to prove him wrong and I survived the year knowing that one day someone else will know the capitol of Honduras is Tegucigalpa and not Santo Domingo and he'll go back and remember all the people he made a fool of himself in front of. Plus he was a big lecturer so it saved me a lot of time not trying to argue with him.

You just have to go along with it. Remember, they are in charge of you and have the power to give you a bad grade. You could also try to find something that they don't know like why poison dart frogs born in captivity aren't poisonous. (Although they might know the answer to it or make up an excuse.)

In life, one must learn to choose which battles are worth fighting.
You too cannot be right at all times. So, the question is, "Is this a battle worth fighting?"
Good Luck....

It's getting you ready for work. That's what it's like at work every day when you have a bonehead boss. Chalk it up as training.
