My Dalmation Mollie fish is at the bottom of the tank, and she is floating tail up. She also seems not to be able to swim around the tank on her belly, her head goes straight down. Is she dying?

You fish has a swimmingbladder problems.
These can occur when the tank is not properly cycled and over stocked. I had a redparrot about 8 inches long and i put a Flowerhorn about 2 inches long, the flower horn had the same problem and symptoms. He died. About the only thing you can do feed it some pees and increase the salinity of the tank just a little bit hopefully stabalizing her. Im sad to say that your fish is most likely to die. Once it dies, clear out you tank, water, fish, and all decorations and gravel in the tank. Put the gravel and decorations back in. Put all new water in, and put some 25 cent feeder goldfish in and wait about a week for the tank to be cycled. You can speed this up by buying a bottle of livebacteria. The large size is around 20 dollars, the small is around 5 dollars. They greatly help. After about a week reintroduce whatever fish you want. Make sure not to feed them that often so they dont create more amonia then you bacteria can handle.

Sounds like she is pretty close. There is hope though. Immediately change 40-50% of the water. Add about 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt (not table salt). Disolve the salt in water before adding it to the tank. Get a test kit or take a water sample to a store that specializes in aquariums and have them test it for you. The sooner the better.

Good Luck

It's called swimbladder disease. It happens when not-so-well informed people won't clean their tanks or their water perims are bad and the fish get sick. Test your water. Do water changes. Most fish with this die nearly instantly.
