it seems to Me that these guys deserve it...they were around before grand master flash and he's being inducted!

KISS have NOT been inducted into the R&RHOF, unfortunately. Gene Simmons has taken offence to the snub and has basically told the nominee committee to go screw themselves... literally.
KISS are eligible to be in the HOF, and I personally believe they SHOULD be there!!! They have made an impact in the music industry and have influenced many bands & artists along the way.
They pioneered the art of concert performance which raised the level of all bands to attain.
Vote KISS for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Can you image the exhibit they could have? WOW!!!
Long live the KISS ARMY!!!

Music wise, kiss never did anything groundbreaking or different, they didn't influence a whole generation of rockers like bands like Led Zeppelin or Van Halen did.
I personally think kiss's music is pretty lousy and they are sub-par musicians.
However, there are other people in the R&R Hall of fame that don't deserve to be there either..

KISS is eligible for the Hall of Fame since 1999, but, as of late, they are not in the Hall. From everything I have read, they have never been nominated for induction.

i do no longer think of weapons N' Roses have been generating music long adequate yet. they could get prompted in some years. As for, Metallica and Rush i'm undecided. yet tbh i think of Rock n Roll corridor of recognition is a touch a humorous tale. I recommend, they have inducted Madonna. She's no longer even rock.

Kiss should be. They saved us from disco (even with the fact that the did a disco track). Rock was in deep deep trouble before Kiss. Every rock fan should know the history and appreciate them. Without them, you'd have the Bee Gees playing 24-7.

They probably are or will be. But outside of make-up and fireballs these guys are bad musicians.
But the want to rock all night and party every day, so that's good enough for most people.
