every once in a while you will see an avatar that is an actual picture of something,( like Homer Simpson or some Southpark character) not the kind that you create on Y-answers. So, does anyone know how to do that?

Yup. You have to first make a 360 Account. So to do that go to "Edit my Info"( you can find this on your profile page.) Then it says "Use 360 picture .Get 360 account now" So click on that. Then you can start your 360 page. You get to your page skip all the theme and stuff like that if you want. Then you see your page. On top of that in blue it should say 'Edit Personal Pictures" Click that. Upload your pictures. Make sure it is Jpg. Then you can upolad it. Click save. Also make sure you click "Set As Primary" for the one you would like. Then go back to your "Edit My Info" on answers. Select use my 360 picture and then save. Then you have it. Hope I helped.

You can change it, but you'll need the picture on a Yahoo 360 account. If you have one go to your Yahoo Answers homepage (click on your avatar) click on edit my info and choose the Yahoo 360 option.
