I got an Lg Choc phone for xmas and its playing up! It started by turning itself off a few weeks ago and its just getting worse and worse, last week it decided it wanted to turn my screen white every so often and Jam and this morning when I turned it on the bottom half of the screen was white and the top half was like split in two with a mini image of what should have been showed on the full screen in each half (sorry does that makes sense!)

I have taken it to carphone warehouse tonight to see what they can do as that is where I bought it and they say all I can do is send it away for a month and a half, pay £35 to do so AND theres a chance it will come back in just the same way, I have sent phones away with the carphone warehouse before and it came back worse than when I sent it!
My freind has the same phone and said hers did the same its something to do with a fault in the phone, is there anything I can do?

Ps if anything I said is unclear let me known ill refrase it! Thanks xx

If you really believe it is a problem with the phone I would call the manufacturer and ask them about their warranty. If necessary I would pay the cost of postage to mail it to the manufacturer if it is still under warranty, especially if you have had problems before taking something back to where you purchased it. It may be worth the price of a phone call. Good luck. You may even be able to email the manufacturer.

carphone warehouse should sort it at a branch where they have an engineer, there will be one local, if it was purchased from them and is less than a year old.

i have a choc as well and will never buy another lg phone!

It could be a software/firmware problem which may need an upgrade. If it comes back the same, you could do it yourself. All you need to do is goto the lg website and you will need a usb cable as well just go to support.

There might be a problem with the firmware installed on the phone, you should try getting it flashed.

why dont you contact lg sales and support-the list is endless what could be causing this-you could try removing battery and replacing it -then set the phone settings to factory settings-(see your handbook)..good luck
