I can't remember another president this low for this long and that includes Nixon. Even Nixon knew he did wrong and resigned rather than drag the nation through a nasty impeachment. When the Reps decided to impeach Clinton they didn't care. Now that a truly impeachable offense has been committed and Bush has lost the support of the majority of the people he claims to lead, he still doesn't understand that twisting intelligence to leave his mark in history isn't the way to go. He still thinks he's right and all the world is wrong. Although even he has given up on WMD.
None of you really understand the polling process, I realize you don't like the results, but they are usually quite close, within a given range of between 2-4 points, so if Bush is down to 28% he is down with all Americans unless the poll is specifically aimed at one group or another. And if it were they would say so. If you don't face the fact that he has lost the majority of Americans of all political stripes then there is no way you can win the next elections.

I would need to see the actual poll. When I see a poll saying, President Bush's or President Clinton's approval rating has dropped or risen, I become immediately suspicious.

I think the poll results should be rephrased: Out of 2,793 Americans polled who are such losers that they have nothing better to do than talk to a stranger on the phone, the results show..."

Or, pollsters standing in front of a McDonald's on Broadway between 3:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon found that the President's approval rating dropped/rose.

Or, a survey taken of leisurely people at a local mall and were bribed by a $5.00-off coupon to be used at the local food court reveals...whatever.

There is no such thing as a scientific poll. What is the approval rating of people who don't have time to talk to losers on the phone? What is the approval rating of people who are too busy and/or productive?

By the way, what does approval mean? Does it mean, "yeah, uh huh, I guess he's alright" or does it mean, "I love the President, I would drink his bath water!"?

That's not democracy. Bush is only really low in liberal polls. Check out Rasmussen Reports. They are the most reputable poll going...

In a parlimentary system that works. Not in a federal system. It is not that easy. If it were we might have a new president every few months or so. We would never get anything accomplished.

Yay, another one of those questions. If you were a person that kept asking questions that are more assumptions rather than questions, shouldnt they be banned from yahoo answers?

Certainly and we tried to kick Bill Clinton out of office, but the Democrats embrace lies and lying.

Yes, it was called 2004. Unfortunately, America had its' head in the sand...well, half of America.

Now they are sorry, but it is too late. Unless Bush breaks more laws and gets impeached, I'm afraid we are stuck with him.

Of course, he could resign...don't count on that happening though.
