so far i hate it. when we watch basic cable like mtv or vh1 or watever... it does play shows the time it usually plays at. i am frm california. we had comcast before we switched over. like for example. ... when theres a show on mtv and starts at 10 ... it would play at 7pm eastrn time. why is my direct tv set at eastern time ... when im on the west .

it's your ZIP code! and your TIMEZONE... the installer set it up wrong! depending on you box, it may be different settings, I have a directv hd dvr, and it knows where I live!

We changed from comcast to dish and love it. Much less expensive, more channels. Just use your guide button to find what you are looking for. Or do a search for the program you want and it will tell you channel its on and time.

O i have dish and it did that too they had mtv west which i didnt mind cuz im on the east... i had 2 channels just find mtv west...but thats dish y not call direct tv or something....Cuz most sattelite **** have east and west crap...they'll have the answer

We have the dish, and I love it. We used to have comcast cable and I hated that, it was off more than it was on.
