Anyone who blindly follows EA Sports games is a fanboy. They make some good games - Tiger Woods is great, Fight Night seems good, and their MVP baseball and NHL series are both solid, but they throw out a lot of duds. NBA Live is garbage and Fifa isn't that great either. But I digress.

MLB 2K7 is a pretty solid game. I've been playing it for about a week now and I would say that it is worth buying. Last year's version was a complete disaster, but don't let that push you away. They hired a new manager for this year's edition and he has done a really great job. He used to work on the EA MVP series so if you were a fan of that game you should expect to like this one.

I find that the strength of this game lies in its pitching mechanics and its presentation. Graphically it is stunning on the 360. All the stadiums look beautiful and are accruate to each detail. The player models and motions are the best I've seen in a baseball game to date. The gameplay is solid and it plays a pretty good game of baseball - something that can't be said for last year's edition.

The negatives are the fielding and hitting and they aren't too condemning. The fielding camera is a little strange and I still find it too hard to move two bases on a single to the outfield against the CPU. The mechanics are okay though, it just seems a little odd of a perspective is all. Hitting is varied - you'll see balls go to all parts of the park. That said, it seems odd to have to pull back on the right analog stick and then release it versus pushing it up to swing. If you play the game you'll see what I mean. Pushing it up is used for power swings and releasing it is used for contact swings. Thing is if you do a power swing you will either hit a homerun or whiff. Not too realistic.

Overall I would say the game is good but not great. I am glad they fixed all the issues with gameplay so that next year they can merely tweak it versus overhauling it. Much like everyone else in the link below, I give it a 8/10 and would recommend buying it for the 360.

I hope this was helpful.

no longer probably in the MLB using fact it takes such a good number of areas working at the same time... yet, It surely may well be obtainable in the NBA working example for the reason which you purely ought to purchase like 5 gamers... seem on the Celtics this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days... they exceedingly plenty "offered" that group besides the reality that it become by using trades and that they'd win the championship (i think of that New Orleans will win however the Celtics have a shot). The Celtics have 3 very intense paid gamers now. yet, if the NBA had a collection the place the gang spent money wisely and then hit a 300 and sixty 5 days with some celebrity FA's they are able to surely purchase a championship just about straight away. it ought to happen.

I've never liked the graphics for Y2k games cause it seems fake. I'd recommend EA Sports games all they way but they don't make MLB baseball games anymore. Good Luck though.
