1. A ratio is like a simplfied fraction, that compares two numbers.
2. compare them by finding a common denominator and compare the 2 numerators. 32:100 and 18:25.....simplify the first to make 8:25 or change the second one to 72:100, either way, you can realize they are unequal.
3. 60:40 or 3:2 when simplified.
4. multiply 5x20 to get 100% then multiply the numerator by 20 also to = 60
60% is your answer.

1. lets say you were asked what is the ratio of 12 trees to 24 houses. the ratio would be 12:24 (ratios are like fractions and you should simplify them)
1:2

2. well ratios are just like fractions where you can compare a number to the total numer

3. the ratio is 60 : 100 or 3 : 5

4. the ratio 3:5 can be written as 3/5 (fraction)
then you would just make the denominator into 100 so multiplying 20 to both numerator and denominator gives you 60/100 or 60%
