It's location. It's right in the middle of everything(as in Asia and Africa...the 'whole world' back then). And they had lots of fertile farmland and those big rivers to feed all the people that lived there.

I think it was because it was they were the first to live in the Fertile Cresent, so they could grow crops better and stop being hunter gatherers. They settle in villages and procede to invent things such as techology and becoem civilized.

What do humans need to survive properly,...or at all.
what does this country have to contribute better to survival?
CLIMATE?
SOIL?
FOOD?
WILDLIFE?
WATER?


....or do you lust want someone else to do it "all" for you, and not want to learn to think for YOURSELF?
