it all depends on where you come from, some people believe it to be wisdom, so believe it to be a death omen in a pair of taro cards that I have the owl means chatter and gossip. Here is a web site that has tons of meaning for the owl. It is very interesting, I didn't know that the owl had this much meaning.

Usually an owl is wisdom or cunning, but if you look at it in a different way, it could also mean glasses. An owl makes me think of time for some reason, i don't kno why.
