contracts?

Give me a break. In public education, if we want to make a purchase above such and such dollar amount (usually around $300 - $1000), we need to get at least THREE bids, with one of them being a state approved supplier.

How is it that Halliburton gets away with this crap?

And how can I get in on this scam? Why bother working when there is a better option?

Those contracts are written by people who know the exact specifications to ask for so that only one company has the product, how do they know? What exactly do you think lobbyists do, just hand out money to any pretty or pretty funny face they see on a DC street?
Halliburton is unhappy with its present huge profits and fears the American public might be miffed at its standing, and ask for an accounting for the missing billions and so it announced today its moving to Dubai, and taking its taxes with it. If I hear one more idiot rave about the wonders of the free market, I'm gonna have him make up the tax money we won't be getting from Halliburton.
How do they get away with it? Have all three branches of government in their pockets.
And that sad man is upset because you have a union job, poor misguided fool.

How much money do you have to contribute to Bush's campaign? Get together $100K to give to the RNC and presto, you too can be on the no bid contracts list.
