We've all seen them do it ...one finger closing one nostral and then they blow down and out the other.....lovely eh ? I've never seen any other sportsmen or women do this, suppose it could get pretty messy for example on a basketball court if they did - Have these footballers no shame ? What's the most disgusting thing you've seen a sports person do on live TV ?

They've no choice but to do it on camera, many cameras follow them for every second of the game! Tennis players blow their noses inbetween games, but football players can't very well keep running to the sidelines to blow their noses.
Paula Radcliffe stopped mid race for a poo once.

They "empty" their noses in order to breathe while playing a sport that requires strength speed and agility and breathing is kind of important. now in baseball it's more of a comfort thing so they spit and adjusts their balls a lot. The fact that the cameras happen to catch this is not really in the control of the players.

hahahaha...I know what you mean, they spit uo the contents of their lungs too, imagine doing a sliding tackle and landing in the gunge ewww!! They are always rearranging their 'tackle' too, they are disgusting. I've never seen a snooker player empty his hooter in this fashion!

Every year you'll see the camera not quite quickly enough pulling away from someone throwing up as they finish (or not) the London marathon.

I blow snot rockets all the time in the winter. You're outside doing whatever in the cold, no kleenex's...what's a man to do? There's only so much sniffling I can take, then it's time to let it go!

footy kits dont have a pocket for your hankie... and sticking one up your sleeve... well its not done is it?
