My "mucus plug" just came out today and im not having any pains or contractions but does that mean ill go into labor soon?

Probably not what you want to hear...but, I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks before I went into labor

Hiya. I am 35 weeks pregnant. I had show at 32 weeks, then last week a huge one that followed irregular contractions. Today i have had a huge nesting instinct that wont quit, and everythig is being sterilised and old papers shredded in my new paper shredder that is quite theraputic! I hope it is close for me but still nothing. My doctor said baby will probably be here before 38 weeks at a guess but time will tell. With my first baby i had a show one weeks before my labour started. I guess it is a sign labour is imminent, taking up to a max of 12 days or a matter of hours. x

After you loose your mucus plug it can still be weeks before the onset of labor...but... It does mean that things are starting to happen so you never know!

NO, I lost my mucus plug, and 3 weeks later started having contractions.
Sorry, you still got a few weeks to go.

mine came out and than my husband and i made love a couple hours later. i calle dthe hospital befor that and they told me i could still be pregnant for 2 weeks if i wasnt having any pains. at 4 am that morning i felt lik ei had to go to the bathroom so bad but couldnt. i did everything to try to avoid going to the hospital. shower nothing worked. so when my mucus plug came out yeah i went into labor shortly after. it all depends on your body and on if your active or not. congrats.

I lost my mucus plug about a week before. Call your OB, he can check you and see if yuo've started to dialate or thin out.

Yes i have been told many times that when the mucas plug comes out then labour is soon to follow. You should start in the next 24/48hrs!!! Good luck and CONGRATS!!!!! Wish i was you right now :-(
