My fiance and I went to a fast food place in the last year where I got a deep fried cherry pie. It kinda looks like McDonalds pies but theirs are baked, not deep fried. This pie had a really crispy crust and it was all bubbly on the outside. It was delicious! I can't seem to remember where I got it! Anyone have any ideas?

McDonald's had them (and apple) years ago. Now all I can find is the nasty apple kind. Hope you get a good answer.
My family and I do enjoy something similar. Use a sandwich maker (small appliance, less popular these days), put cherry pie filling between two slices of bread. Not the same, but still pretty good.

Arby's has a nice flaky cherry pastry pretty close to the one MCD's had. Try it. It even has icing on it.
