Is there a greater meaning behind life or are we all living to die? Is everthing just a coincidence?

Life is random, ie, coincidences happen all the time, there is no such thing as fate or pre-ordained plan, bad things happen to ALL people because of coincidence, Murphy's Law, and random acts of nature and people. When the tectonic plates crash into each other and cause human calamities, are they worried about who's good and bad? Don't make me laugh.

To think that good people are protected or somehow immune to the laws of nature is not logical or rational. If you start believing in fate and pre-ordained plans, then you're reverted to superstitious CAVE MAN logic....don't do it. Just kidding, do and believe what you want.

I don't believe that everything is just a coincidence. There is a divine order behind everything that happens. For example, if your intuition tells you something about someone, and you choose not to listen to it, then you may either miss an opportunity or get yourself into some deep trouble later. And if you do, then you begin to realize that you should have listened to yourself a long time ago. This happens to everyone! It is not coincidence!

Or think about how things happen in the right place, at the right times. Haven't things come to you just right when you needed them?

I suggest you read Rick Warren's book, "The Purpose Driven Life" He begins the book by saying, "If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by his purpose and for his purpose." He covers a lot of ground in this easily read book that has been very widely read and appreciated.

I think we are all wired for "hope" and when we give in to the many voices out there who tell us that this life is all there is then we lose hope and nothing makes sense. Read Rick's book and then follow his suggestions. You will begin an unforgetable adventure and a rewarding life of purpose.

I have realized that there is no such thing as coincidence. All things happen for a purpose. It is just that most of the times we don't know what that might be...

There are few (if any) coincidences - having said that, finding an answer "why" something happens is well beyond me...

Finding meaning is perhaps what you are here to do.

Nothing is coincidence, everything happens for a reason. Have you ever noticed that everything you do leads to another?
That is fate.

You bet there is. As Sherlock Holmes said:"I don't believe in coincidence." I believe everything happens for a reason. God is in control and all things work out according to His purpose, wither we believe it, or not, or even understand it. God sent His son Jesus Christ to allow everyone who believes in Him, and receives Him as Lord and Savior to live forever(no gratuitous explosive self destruction necessary).
