Everybody knows about the argument whether mobile (cell) phones can cause brain damage or not with prolonged use. It worries me when you think of all the different signals that are floating around these days (TV, Radio, Satelite, Mobile Phone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth just to name a few). I wonder how many signals our bodies absorb and how dangerous this could be to humans?

The body does not absorb these signals, they are able to penetrate skin and muscle, bones only rebound the signals.
You are able to live very well and be safe from these signals. Life is already too short to worry.

I definitely share your concern, and (after researching online quite a bit) I believe that yes, they can and do damage our health. Most people don't notice this, but there are plenty of people who are sensitive to electromagnetic radiation. Personally, I'm "only" sensitive to mobile and cordless phones, which cause headaches after even just a few minutes of use. Most people will probably consider me a "loser", but that doesn't change the fact that all of this radiation is bad for you. Just because you don't notice it, doesn't mean it's not harming you. No one notices getting lung cancer from smoking cigarettes, either... or liver failure from alcohol... until it's too late.

I think humanity is gonna pay a huge price for all of this lovely technology sooner or later. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. But one day someone is gonna notice an increase in brain tumors and birth defects, and (many years later) they're gonna link it to all of this crap beaming down on us all day, every day. By that time it's of course gonna be impossible to just "switch it all off" (it already is today), and we're gonna have a gigantic problem...

Message of doom over. ;-)

most of the wave types that you mentioned are different forms of radio wave. these them selves are no danger to us. dangers with waves of this type only occur when their frequencies match that of the natural frequencies of the matter that our bodies are made from. the wavelength of radio waves are generally metres or kilometres long and therefore their frequency quite low. and so any energy transmitted is not noticed by humans. the dangers come with high frequency waves like gamma rays and x rays. the waves used for everyday consumer devices are a lot further down the electro magnetic spectrum in the safe frequency zones.
Though the resonance of waves and our bodies is not the only danger with waves. particles such as alpha particles are highly ionising but can be shielded against and therefore dangerous to our flesh from the inside. gamma radiation is highly penetrating but you will not likely come into close contact with any lethal dose of those unless you play around in nuclear waste pit. Our bodies will not absorb any of the waves you mentioned with any adverse effects. the question is, are there elements in mobile phones that do emmit potentially lethal radiation?

"Currents of Death" By Clifford Brodeur, is a good reference. I personally read the book & other information & years ago & remain concerned about ALL types of radio &/or magnetic waves. Our cells are delicate & can get DNA damaged by these waves. One source may be too weak to cause a definite injury BUT the cumulative effect of all sources can. I keep electric devices away from close proximity to where I spend much time. I.E. Heating pads, 110 Volt alarm clocks from where I sleep.I worked in telecomm industry for 37 years & was aware of a markedly higher incidence of skin & breast cancer in MEN who worked in Central Offices. Microwaves for telcom were particularly a problem if all safety measures were not followed. Exposure to cyclotron without shilds in place causes a " sunburn" effect.

Radiation from power lines certainly will. The juries out on mobiles. Microwaves as in radio transmissions will kill that's why the aerials are either shielded or high up on a moor.

Every radiation has some risks but some risks are too large to ignore. some risks may be large but the manufacturers of those equipment may not want people to know about them until it is too late. Then they can pay compensation to those who have the energy to sue them otherwise they will escape from all obligations.

Always take precautions and particularly pregnant women and babies should avoid modern gadgets at all costs!!

Hope this helps.

Its all very well and good blaming the poor old Mobile phone for all these "Invisible signals"

Usually, we are ok. All of the things you mention (and more) are now covered by strict regulation. But....things can now and again go wrong. Too much radiation is bad, perhaps especially for the brain, so we should watch the ratings etc on phones we buy etc.

Yes they do. The companies involved (mobile providers) hide their masts in your local petrol station signs. Look at your local council office roof, is littered with them. All high rises have them. Our kids suffer because government want the revenue

Stop worrying about crap like this and do something usefull like dont drink, smoke and watch when you cross the road because your more likely to die from these than from your mobile phone
