This is normal...I had it too. As long as it's not bright red and or heavy don't worry. It's implantation bleeding. Congrats!

Many women experience bleeding in pregnancy. I have heard stories of women and my own nurse passing blood clots the size of their palm and still deliver a healthy baby. This could be implantation bleeding. Implantation bldg. is very light pink-brown in color and would look like the begining and the end of a period. Implantation bldg. occurs around 12 days after concepcion. Could you be off on your LMP? If it is accompanied by heavy bright red bleeding and cramp it could be an impending m/c if you are in terrible pain go to the ER. You also could have a subcorionic hemorraghe, it is when the placenta tears away from the uterine wall and forms a pocket of blood. Also make sure you are not taking too much folic acid and iron. I believe that in my last m/c the doctor over perscribed the dosage and attributed to my m/c, I too spotted for five weeks-finally having a complete m/c at 7 weeks. I wish you all the best. Hopefully this will pass.

Please get it checked out. It may be nothing and many, many women bleed during pregnancy and everything is okay but sometimes it is not. I do not mean to panic or upset you but please go to the doctor. As to "brown" blood being old, that may be true but it doesn't mean everythign is okay. A week ago, at 11 weeks, I had brown blood for 1/2 day followed by red blood and severe cramping. Turned out my baby died a few weeks earlier. This is not to stress you but it is urgent you for you to go to doctor and get an ultrasound for your peace of mind. Good luck.

Is it red or brown? Brown is old blood and usually no cause for concern but red blood could indicate something is wrong. You might want to call the Dr. especially if you have cramping.

I had very heavy spotting early in my pregnancy, and I now have a normal four-year-old. They told me that it was normal. However, don't assume yours is normal. If you're concerned, go to the E.R.

it could be implantation bleeding, if it lasts more than two days, call your doctor and ask to be seen.
