i have ALOT of hair and its thick. when i wear a pony tail i usually end up with a headache.

I was getting a lot of headaches when I had long hair and then I got a haircut and my headaches were reduced 99%. And also since you did ask this in the TV section by mistake Sometimes watching TV too much (not sure if you do) but that can add to headaches. Just something that came to mind.

If you put your hair in a pony tail that could be giving you a head ache, but just the weight of your hair may do it, I'm not sure my hair is thin so I have never had that problem, it never weighs a lot. I would think that your hair took a long time to get to be 2 lbs, so your head should be used to the weight of your own hair.

wow that's alot of hair and that can be causing the headaches when i have long hair i get headaches i got it cut now i do not have so many i would get it cut not all of it just some of it maybe get it thinned out a bit that might help

Holy cow. 2 lbs is a lot of hair.
This could stop the growth of your body.
As well as the growth of other essential things in your years.
Mostly if you're in adolescent years.
I really suggest cutting it, even if its just a few inches.
By the way 2 lbs. looks, i'd suggest about a foot.
Please donate your hair if you do to cancer.
It would help greatly.

Your hair must be pretty important to you. So if you don't want to cut it, can you wear it up or in a hat so it doesn't put pressue on your scalp/head? Maybe you could wear it in a really cool looking braid(s)?
