I lived in NYC most of my life and everyone yearned for Summer to go to the beach and get a tan. Now that I live in South Florida it seems the only ones with tans are the vacationers and snowbirds, Have we finally come to our senses about how bad the sun can damage your skin?

tanning is defiantly uncool! you can get cancer and its like sitting out in the sun for like 8 hours!!!!! at the stores there is a huge selection of tanning products you can use. it is nice to have a tan just make it a fake one and your skin will thank you!

Not really. However, many people wish that it was. Where I live (Washington State) tanning in my city and among my peers is still cool, and is certainly 'in'.

tanning is always going to be in...people just dont make such a big deal about it anymore...just an overdone tan looks ridiculous...but other then that tanning is good

I hope so. My step-grandfather is dying of skin cancer. They did surgery to remove it, but it was already spreading. I hope people realize this isn't a look they are going for, but that they are truly putting themselves at risk.
