i posted a question earlier about having a pain in my lower abdomen. now i have been having steady pains every 4-5 minutes that last for like..30 seconds to about a minute. its been like that for about....half hour. i haven't been super active or anything today and i drink plenty of fluids so its not that im dehydrated. im 33 weeks and 1 day along. the pain goes into my back and my entire stomach gets hard and hurts really bad. plus ive been very light headed all today and i have felt short of breath for the last like..45 minutes. What could all of this possibly mean?

Honestly by the sounds of things its braxton hicks but you can't be 100% certain. I am also 33wks + 3dys and all day yesterday i had very bad pains (sounds like the same ones you have) i just grinned and bared them. I have been told that labour pains will feel excruciating and that you will just know when ur in labour! If they last longer than and hour and are there steady for an hour or more i would call my doc just to get checked!

It means you are in labor and need to get to the hos. You are feeling contractions and 33 weeks is too soon to deliver and your baby will probably spend some time in the NICU.

It kind of sounds like contractions. Hopefully it's Braxton-Hicks, but yours are coming in regular intervals so you should call your Dr. Early labor can sometimes be stopped, so call as soon as you can or go to the hospital. In cases like this it may be nothing and they might send you home and you might end up feeling silly, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Good Luck.

lay and down and try not thinking about it. you'll feel better if its nothing. rest for the rest of the day. when you go intto labor it kind of feels like you really have to go to the bathroom and cant. than your water will break or youll lose your mucus plug. If its really painful and uncomfortable you should go to the er or call your dr. eveeryone salbor is different but we can all make our selves feel like we are in labor. take a lil break. ive had 3 kids and 3 different labors.

they sound like contractions, to rule out braxton hicks or to see if you having preterm labor....you said you havent been active so i am assuming you have been sitting around while you feel them, take a walk, do something for a little bit if they go away then they are braxton hicks if they continue while you being active then its time to call the dr or just go into labor and delivery.

It could possibly be braxton hicks but it does sound like you could be going into premature labor. I think you should call your OB asap.
