what is minimum wage in louisiana??

LA has no minimum wage law. Therefore the minimum wage there follows Federal law IF your employer is involved in interstate commerce in any way. Most employers would fall into that situation but there may be some very small local businesses that are exempt from the Federal minimum wage requirements.

Louisiana doesn't have it's own minimum wage, and the federal minimum is $5.15.

according to google, its $5.15 an hour, but they are reviewing legislature to increase it to $7.25. Still sucks, but when I was a kid I worked for $3 an hour, and that wasnt all that long ago. Check out http://www.epionline.org/mw_statistics_state.cfm?state=LA for more info on the increase, etc.
