I am 12. Today I started getting bad cramps "down there", so bad I had to scream out loud and I have a noucious headache (like I'm going to be sick) and I have been realy tired, am I going to start my period? I haven't. I bled a little [and really only a little bit] a few months ago. Am I? I don't wanna ask my mom yet. Thanks for the help!

I think you're gonna start soon. Good luck and even though it might be hard, talk to your mom. She'll understand.
Good Luck

Well, if you're like me, you will probably really get it in about 7 months. I started having severe cramps when I was in 6th grade and I didn't get it truly until November when I was in 7th grade. You may have thought that you got it, but maybe you didn't because that's what I thought too. Believe me, I'm 13.
But, nevertheless, you may be getting your period very soon. I know that it must be hard for you to try to tell your mom, it was hard for me. But if you take a deep breath, and explain the situation carefully to her, it won't seem as bad as you think. Don't forget, your mom had to go through the same thing you are going through, and she can help you and answer whatever questions you might have. So good luck finding a true answer of what you are experiencing!

Yes it sounds like you are going to get your period. Take some Tylenol or Advil and take it easy. If you take it before you actually get your period, your cramps may not be so bad. Just relax. When you first get your period they can be irregular. Sometimes the flow is not really strong or may not last for more than a couple of days. Just relax. Don't be afraid to talk to your Mom. She can be a big help to you with this.

Sounds like it...my daughter had the same problems at 10..talk to your Mom she's expecting it..and you need to get the proper supplies on hand, you don't want to start in the middle of the night and have nothing to use for it...good luck!
Also make sure you take some pads to school with you in case you start there...you don't want to have to go to the nurse for a pad!

Sounds like it. Talk to your mom, she is a good source of advice, she has been there, done that. Some girls your age are sexually active, if you are one of them keep in mind there are medical conditions that can make you feel bad like your describing. Take some Motrin if you don't have any medical problems. It will help, there are also over the counter medications such as pamprin and such. Good luck and feel better.

I have never had cramps that have made me want to scream. They are usually terribly uncomfortable, but not pain. And the headache...If I were you I would tell your Mom you haven't been feeling well. I'm no doctor, but it doesn't sound like period to me.

Chances are you're going to get your period again soon. those are classic signs. What you can do is see how you feel during this period, and if you find it continuing with your other periods then casually mention to your mother, your time of the month is quite painful. I'm sure she'll understand

First of all you need to calm down. Stressing about it will not make your cramps go away. Taking a good pain reliever will help and once your body gets used to it will become less and less painful. You NEED to let your mother know about this because its nothing to be ashamed of. It's all part of growing up and everybody goes through it. I remember I cried the first time I got them it was hilarious! lol..Good Luck to you.

I know you don't want to tell your mom about this but you really need to so that she can also help you thru the process to make the adjustment time easier so that it isn't so overwhelming.
But yes, it sounds like your period could be coming at any time.
Pls try not to be embarrassed about talking to your mom about this.
