I don't believe a kidney infection can cause missed periods. If you're experiencing this pain and it goes around to your back see your doctor.

Better yet go to a walk in clinic if you have to just get it checked out and get the medication needed if it is infact an infection. I had a bladder infection once, they're painful.

I don't know if a kidney infection could cause one to miss their period but how one would know if they had kidney infection is if they had pain around the middle of their back or what is called the flank area.

I would recommend making an appt with your dr to have this looked in to.

I went to the emergency room yesterday for basically this same reason. I have missed my last two periods, and my tubes are tied. They ran tests and told me I was not pregnate, but they told me I have a urinary tract infection. I asked the doctor if you miss periods while you have a kidney infection, and he could not answer me. But he told me that was the only thing he found wrong with me. So I think we both need to go see our doctors. GOOD LUCK

If you do have kidney infection, you may see some pink particles in your urine.

If not, you may have a problem in your gall bladder which typically bring in a lots of cramps and pain.

In that case, you may have a gall bladder surgery soon. Millions of us already did. Nothing to it (just make sure hospital don't give you pain killer that cause your allergy, if they do, they will cover up)

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
