A peace treaty in the Middle East is an illusion. We are talking about war and violence for centuries. There are people in the area which are bound to get revenge for things that happened many centuries ago. Perhaps something like the Israeli/Egypt agreement might be possible. They do not like each other but recognize that this armed peace is all that is possible.

It is naive to think that a peace treaty will work with them. They do not like the US telling them what they can and cannot do. The fanatics that are in the Middle East will not stop with the terror and war fare that has worked for countless years just because someone had them sign a piece of paper. The US and its allies need to re-think the way the talks are going and find a new way to deal with the violence and other issues that are faced in the Middle East. I think that our two biggest threats right now are Iran (because they stated that they wanted to destroy Jerusalem) and that maniac in North Korea that is holding his people hostage. So, in answer to your question.....No, I don't think a peace treaty would solve anything in the middle east.

No becuase how can you agree peace with terrorists. What do they want? For the world to be muslim, remember that. Although the west has had a dodgy past with the middle east 9/11 was terrorists killing innocent people, unprovoked! We all seen the celebrations of people across the middle east and burning US flags. They openly target innocents and soldiers alike, how can you solve that by leaving the core of extremist Islam. I know that the war is bloody and costly, but if we leave them in power then they will shout 'victory' from the rooftops, they will believe the West is weak and will never win a war of attrition and where we will be, another 9/11, another afghan/iraq conflict! The Allies biggest mistake in Iraq was pulling out in 1991, it solved little when we were on the verge of victory. It was tough and brave men lost their lives, but thousands more would be alive today if we hadn't have pulled out. Wars will always be costly but weakness in war will always cost more.

No whever signs a peace treaty is talking for themselves. We are not fighting a country but an idea.
Regardless of what peace treaty is signed and who is invoved, (Israel, US, Iran, PLO, Hezbolah etc) there will be individuals who are not of the mainstream of such groups that do not want peace and will continue to fight.
Ireland is a perfect example, many peace treaties have been signed but each time only a few people stop fighting because no one person can speak for the rebels.
The whole way an insurgency/terrorism is structured is to have limited central control by any one group/person. Without central control, no one person or group can declare peace for their side.

A peace treaty with whom?
There are many different countries, and dozens of political factions and armed groups.
To "solve everything" you would need to come up with a peace treaty that every group and country would sign, and which they would actually follow.
The Middle East has been in conflict for at least the past few thousand years, with at least one or two wars every decade.
To expect that to any any time soon is unrealistic.

don't be so stupid. the reason we do not have any international peace is because a similar those who funded both area and all started and ended international conflict a million and 2 were ending up conflict in the middle east for decades. If those human beings stopped we may have peace. Peace can in undemanding words be finished with freedom. a similar human beings blew up their personal twin towers and murdered fellow human beings as an open ended excuse to create a pretend conflict on terror the position they're the terrorists and pretend to have the answer. by ability of turning united states and europe right into a 4th reich the position we are all dealt with like criminals in our own countries. I recommend each body stops paying taxes and prevents making use of debt depending forex like euro. dollar and pound and begins making use of gold and silver. we are able to create our own banks.
