The truth is that the ratings were fine but the cast no longer wanted to work together. In particular. Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan weren't getting along to well. They had given the girls all the incentives they could. They were given producers credits for year ever since Doherty wanted then in season two. By season eight there was no pleasing them. Aaron Spelling called it quits and was planning to move on when he died. They have discussed a movie but the girls are not ready to get back in their halter tops again , and rumors of a spinoff have been met with the fact that they can not get the rights from Spelling's estate and moey to film the series which would cost more because it has to be filmed in the future. And that is the truth.

Warner brothers got bought out and the new owners changed everything and dropped a lot of the shows. the WB had like 4 shows that were in there first season that the new owners dropped. 7th heaven got dropped but then re-started but they didn't pick up were the last episode ended. Charmed was just one of the shows they decided to stop. i think it was a stupid move cause in my small town alone i know of about 10 people who no longer watch that channel any more because of it. i loved Charmed but it had a good run, plus its on DVD and i own all the available season and the soundtracks so I'm good. disappointed that it ended but good.

I did like that teach, it have been given me exceedingly invested during the 2001-2003 era. although, i think of the teach lost its grip during the previous few years, the writing only went slack, that's all. even though it had a spectacular season finale that wrapped up each little thing great. It become a tragic ending yet very last. it could have long gone on longer yet oh properly, 8 years of greatness.

For as long as it lasted, it must not have been as bad as some of you claim. I like it but don't watch it religiously.
All shows come to an end sooner or later, even the good ones.

OMG that waz my favorite SHOW i was so sad when i fouond out that the 8th season was the last one. My favorite was Phoebe what about yours? anyways I think it was mainly due to that the WB was runnin out of money and they had to come together with UPN and thats how the CW came to be.

i still miss it too, but it made me enjoy Nora Robert's latest trilogy the more. Those books have vampires, vampire slayers, light/dark magic, a shape shifter and of course the innocents.

ummm...bad acting.
The one episode I saw 2 months ago was really awful. I'm actually surprised it lasted as long as it did.
