The 9/11 was by far the worst thing imaginable and I too can still see the people heading to certain death as they flew towards the pavement below. Since nothing, so far, has topped 9/11, I'm going to give you a very close second and that would be the after effects of Katrina. OMG such devastation and again people lost their lives, livelihood and homes. The whole city was affected and almost wiped out.

EXACTLY.....and what I was going to say when I first read your question was seeing the two towers collapsing on them-selves and KNOWING that people were inside still and that they were being crushed between the floors.....There is just no way my mind can even BEGIN to comprehend the horror of
what their dying moments had to be like...and yet there are people here in America who would actually take the side of these islamic extremist killers who would do the same thing
again in a heartbeat if they could....and without any qualms for the innocent people who would die in the name of their jihad garbage!!!
No normal or sane person can even COMPREHEND anyone doing what they did and yet we KNOW that it happened and that the loved ones of those who perished in that horrible att-ack - wholesale SLAUGHTER is more like it - have to live with
the HORROR of it every day.....

Have you seen the book PORTRAITS that was put out by the NEW YORK TIMES in honour of the victims who died at the World Trade Center.....It is truly a BEAUTIFUL tribute to the memory of all of those victims, if not all the victims on the air-liners and the pentagon....I was able to get it from my book club and it is truly a priceless keepsake.......and if you are old enough to vote....Just remember what was done to 3OOO of your fellow Americans on that horrible day in the name of allah
and islamic jealousy and hatred towards our country...and that
is truly what it is...Their HATRED and JEALOUSY of both this country and of Israel....and the FREEDOM that we do have in
our society!!!

That was very disturbing, I can't think of anything worse. A close second, though, was when Budd Dwyer blew his brains out on live television. I think it was in the late eighties, we had a snow day off from school, and it was shown on the day-time news. Oh, and anything shown on "Faces of Death".

The most shocking thing I have ever seen wasn't on tv but it was in my Sociology class in school today. We are learning about Jeffrey Dahmer and we saw a picture of a dead body that he dismembered. It was a picture of a dead guy whose head had been cut off and placed in the guys hands so he was like holding his own head.
